    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in writing. In my class we focused on the three types of essays that would show up on the AP test. My favorite was the synthesis essays, where you read a text and synthesize an argument.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the course would be the different stories that we read. I learned that for this course it is important to broaden your horizon because being well versed in different subjects could aid your essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in the course, I seriously recommend that you practice writing and being able to formulate a valid argument. Valid argument meaning that it lacks any fallacies or bias and that you have at least three strong claims to support your argument. Personally, I have a strong background in writing argumentative essays so writing essays for the course was easy. This is why I strongly recommend you practice writing synthesis essays because it will make writing those types of essays easier. Also the more books you read the better your open-ended essays will be because they ask for you to argue and use background knowledge.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is very fun and, if you get the right professor, very interactive.

The highlight was being able to create an advertisement. In this course, I learned how to breakdown a piece of writing to learn about the author.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the course. I would help you beyond the classroom.
