Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because Ms. McMillian not only focuses on the skills we need to learn for 12th grade but she's also very helpful when it comes to advice for college. We have gone over several sections in class that I normally would have found very difficult but, got through with great grades because everything was explained thoroughly and clearly.

    Course highlights:

I learned skills to help me wright college essays, breaking down works of old literature so that they are easier to understand, and the history of the works that we have gone over. So far the pieces of literature that we have gone over are Beowulf, and The Canterbury Tales. We have also written speeches and written college essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I can give for students considering to take this course is to pay very close attention in class and go over the stuff that is being discussed most in class, at home. If you are doing assignments that require you to write something on your own, take time to do it without russhing and ask the teacher her advice on what she would change and what is good about it. You should take the constructive criticism you get and apply it to your assignments.
