    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I do recommend this course. If you need to improve your study skills, this would be a great course to do so with. You will need to devote many hours to this information. It also provides a solid backbone for the understanding of biology. I'm also very pleased with the fact that my professor at a community college has a doctorate.

    Course highlights:

I love cell biology. I think that has been the highlight for me. I also love biology labs and this one is challenging but fun.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you're serious. Test averages were high D's low C's because people did not put in the work. This is not a class to just "get by" in.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The best professor and she's really helpful during the lectures and throughout the course

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about the fundamentals about biology and also in the lab we were able to do so much and experiment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to be on top of all your work and the quizzes to help prepare for the midterm exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class material is pretty intense but if you study studiously you will be fine. The professor has notes that tell you everything you need to know about the chapter, but I still advise that you read the chapters. Hardest part of the course are the practicums, just not fun.

    Course highlights:

The best part of the course is the online material, its literally all the questions on the exams. What I am currently learning in the class that has really amazed me is animal behavior. It is the last sections of the course and is the most fascinating. The course itself opens yours eyes to humanity's impact on natural habitats, and the development of the first multi-cellular organism.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read all the chapters, complete ALL online material, STUDY the labs-they really do make a difference to your grade-, go to all field trips, and do extra credit trips as well. The Bolsa Chica trip is really educational and fun so please attend if you can.
