Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Not only did we read poems and plays, but we disected each one and submerged ourselves into the text.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the diverse selection of poems and plays that we were able to discuss in class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete the readings and let yourself submerge into the writer's thoughts.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to students because the class helps you develop critical thinking skills on poems and on literature. The professor is able to teach students how to view written works in a different way and see any hidden messages that the author might be feeling emotionally.

    Course highlights:

I learned the theory's in literature in the lenses of feminism, Marxist, Formalism, and Structuralism.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend seeing the Professor if students have a difficult time understanding the material or any subject that she may be teaching.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course merely on behalf of the professor I was taught by during the course and the enlightenment that was instilled-- the reading.

    Course highlights:

Well, out of the former English courses I have taken and professors I have analytically examined based on the criteria set out for the students, the reading the professor required us to read was quite a lot, but it was also enlightening. I already knew that, obviously, there are many ideas out there, but I gained new knowledge on different student perspectives and I also continued to decipher why it is that people choose to categorize raw-realism as cynicalism.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

As much as you would like to be doing other things that do not require your head in a book to complete the reading of about three chapters a day, along with other short-poems, just do the work because it pays off. Maybe the expectancy will be unreaveling, but you will be entering class the next following day with the knowledge you encoded in your head; you will not be left behind on the material discussed in class.
