Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course helped me develop an interest in how the body functions, and I learned many surprising things that I never noticed of before. It provides a nice introduction to the human body and its functions. It tests the student's commitment level. I highly recommend this course for students interested in the field of medicine.

    Course highlights:

One highlight that I remembered when taking this class was the cat dissection. It was required when students signed up for this course. I learned about the anatomy of the cat, and I was pretty surprised how similar it is to the human. My favorite part about the cat was the heart and arteries and veins; it is interesting to see where the blood and nutrients travel around in the body; it's like a map. During dissections, my group made a lot of mistakes when cutting into the cat, but we still were able to identify the cat's organs and such. I learned that it is okay to make mistakes. In fact, making mistakes is good; it helps us improve.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

At first, I only took this class for college credit (plus it would also look good on my transcript). After doing several labs and a dissection, I want to commit myself toward helping people with their health. I realized that if I want to do that, I have to be able to understand what I was learning in this course. It is fairly easy to pass this class, but it will be worth it students are able to understand what they are learning instead of just memorizing names of muscles, organs, or bones.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class teaches you the basics of human anatomy and physiology. I really enjoyed this class because everything that we learned was interesting, and really made me want to continue my education and learning more in depth of human anatomy.

    Course highlights:

We were able to dissect a cat during this class. This project took a few months to go through everything, but once you were able to see everything it was a lot easier to understand.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the textbook and take good notes during this class. You should always study in advance because the teacher will always ask question of what you learned yesterday and there might be a few pop quizzes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to any student who has a career interest in human or animal science. This class will give you an introduction to the human body and the function that each part play in completing everyday tasks. I feel that this class was in my best interest to take because I know I will walk out of the class knowing so much more. The teacher is very passionate about his work and loves to see his students succeed in the course. He is very open to conversation and explains in detail if you don't quite understand the concept.

    Course highlights:

Where to begin, everyday is something new in human anatomy. Personally a big highlight for me is the cat dissection unit and I also find learning about the bones is very interesting. In this class you learn so much such as; bones, tissues, muscles, and the functions in your body. This will help me get my feet wet as I move forward in my education to become a veterinarian.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My biggest tip to the future students is work hard, this class isn't easy but not to difficult. It remains an easy class as long as you study and prepare yourself properly for test and quizzes. Studying and participating in class is a key role in being successful in this particular class.
