Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would most definitely recommend this course. For one the professor is up beat and really shows her passion of geography through the way she teaches. Her style of teaching motivate to engage in class discussion as well as encourage you to get excited about the course. Now when you think of Geography you just think of continents and mountains, but this course goes way beyond that. This course covers a wide range of topics such as weather, religion, landscapes, art, and many others.

    Course highlights:

The most important thing I gained from this course is knowledge. I knew nothing coming into this course and after learning about the different cultures, highlights and struggles of the entire world I now have this new found purpose to always be mindful of not only where I am and live but the other billions and billions of people around the world .

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My only advice in this class is to stay on top of your work. Do not fall behind, although she does except late work she takes 16% off for it being late. So even if you have A+ work, if its late you automatically get a 84% so turn in everything on time. Also take advantage of all the work she gives because its just more ways to earn points to your final grade.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I needed the credits, but it was a good course to take because of all the small details of places you learn about that you've never heard of. It made me want to travel the world, especially Sri Lanka. You should find a deeper appreciation of other cultures after taking this course.

    Course highlights:

Learning about Oceania was fun because it's not an area that is covered much in high school geography. The videos in class were also usually very entertaining. I learned that the climate in southeast Asia is usually cool and wet in the winter time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you pay attention during the lectures because most of the material on the quizzes are covered in class. The book really wasn't used too much but some information inside was helpful. Finally, the final project is pretty easy if you go to the CIA world factbook.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was an amazing course, I had no idea how much could really be involved in a basic geography class.

    Course highlights:

In this class we covered everything from location on the planet, how it interacted with wind patterns, and land mass patterns, latitude, longitude, and water patterns. By the end of the class, our final project was to create our own country/landmass and describe how different aspect of the location and topography and everything else discussed in class affected the country and the people living there.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to her, if you cant understand what she's teaching, ask her to explain it differently. She is an amazing professor who always tries to make sure that everyone understands the chapters and discussions so everyone can get the most out of the class. Don't be afraid to talk to her, she is a very patient and understanding woman.
