Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I think this course and good foundation if you are a math student. It is all about logic and how to solve problems efficiently and easily. This course was somewhat a challenge and I think any college freshman should take it because it’s actually a very rewarding course when you finish!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to solve problems efficient and use logical reasoning to figure out equations and word problems. I also passed the class with an A!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to use your brain a little more than what you’re used to. This class is all about finding ways to trick you and lead you in the wrong direction, but if you stay on track you’ll be great!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was the biggest challenge I’ve ever had in college math. Some days I didn’t know what to do and just wanted to unenroll from the class but the professor really helped me and pushed me to keep trying!

    Course highlights:

I gained patience on how to take my time and solve these problems and not give up and to have an open mind to different formulas and equations even if doesn’t make sense!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course you really have to pay attention and ask for help when needed because it’s not going to just come really easily to everyone. Also REMEMBER THE FORMULAS because they are your best friend!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I believe math is a part of all aspects of life, especially in dealing with money in finances. As an adult it really helps knowing how much the expense are for a month so we stay within budget in our finances. Not having this common knowledge creates large amounts of debt.

    Course highlights:

This course included homework outside of the class that made up most of the final grades. Doing the assignments actually assisted in tests and the finals. There were 4 test within in the class throughout the semester and they also made up most of the final grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is a requirement for most students so just be prepared to take it. This is a class that requires the student to really get to know the professor. This means knowing their teachings techniques such as; writing everything they say or summarize what is being taught. The main goal is to take note regardless but understand how much is worth taken down for the homework and tests.
