Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it prepares you for the other history classes that you will take afterward. The teacher spends a lot of time preparing for the different types of essays you will have to write for the AP exam at the end of the year. He also provides power points almost every class to take notes on, and this really helps you to become a more independent person.

    Course highlights:

This class is amazing because even if you don't exactly like history, it's really fun to learn about in this class because of the power points and videos the teacher makes you watch. He really goes into depth about what the small statements in the notes are saying so you understand more clearly. There is also a lot of reading that's required, but this class really helps you to grow into a more independent and organized person, allowing you to pass the AP exam at the end of the year.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, you have to do the assigned reading and all the homework assignments that are given. Although sometimes it can be overwhelming, it's really important to keep up with the work because once you start missing assignments, it's really hard to get back on track.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A lot of people don't like studying history very much, and I am one of those people. However, this course was extremely fun for me because the teacher made it very easy to understand. He gave us power points and had us take notes on them every class. He provided tutoring after school when it came time for the AP exam, and all of these things were very helpful in understanding world history.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course, it not only allowed me to use the information for the AP exam, it also gave me the opportunity to be more creative and concise in daily life. Because this course has so much information, it gave me the ability to find new ways to take notes so that they were more concise. This, in turn, helped me in situations where I needed to think quickly.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

While it may seem like a lot of information to process at first, don't let that get to you. It can be very easy to become overwhelmed, but if you stay on top of the homework and take notes, you should be just fine! When it comes time to take the AP exam, read through all your notes and take practice tests to ensure you pass the exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking this course because it might be the first AP course that a high school student will take in their high school career and if it is the first, then it is the most important because it is the foundation of how the student will later excel in college classes in the future. Taking AP world, made me become more aware of my study habits and apply more focus towards it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning material that was based on real events and analyzing those moments in history. In the course, the student has to read several text based documents and come up with essay's based on topics in history. It was interesting to see the comparison of how we live now versus how it used to be.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My biggest advice to students is to toughen up their reading and writing skills before considering taking the course and take every assignment given very seriously. There is plentiful of writing in this AP course and if the student does not give 100 percent of effort into it, then there is no point otherwise. Participation is key!
