    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is clear, efficient, and makes the course material easy to understand and allows passion for further study in the field of biology. The course is not as in depth as some other AP Biology courses because the school has it once every other day as compared to most schools who have it double blocked. You cover a lot of material in class and are expected to cover even more on your own time.

    Course highlights:

We covered everything from the basic proteins that make up our cells to the way your body is affected by diseases or the hormones released by different actions on the body. we also did many experiments relating to this type of research.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study every day and study especially hard before tests. Do all of the pogil sheets and other course work assigned. Take good notes and pay attention in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend taking this course. It taught me a massive amount of information that I honestly had no clue about. It's not a course with seemingly useless information, I've genuinely remembered and used the information learned in it.

    Course highlights:

My absolute all time favorite part of this course was the Genetics unit. We did projects pertaining to chromosomal anomalies and the diseases and birth defects that come along with it. It was honestly fascinating.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is quite difficult for some other students. But simply because they didn't pay attention and they didn't study. Or they just didn't show up at all! It's a very simple recipe to success for this class, go to class, pay attention, study, do your homework. And you make sure you understand the concepts being taught in class, if you don't understand one tiny part of unit 3, I can promise you that you won't understand any of the rest of the units, it builds upon each other.
