    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I love this class. This was my first biology course at UCI and after taking this class, my passion for biology grew.

    Course highlights:

This was no ordinary biology class. This was a class where you learned about biology in real life situations. You can tell Shaffer puts a lot of effort in the class because in each lecture, he introduces a real-world topic that correlates with the biology lesson

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The exams will test you on ALL application. Memorizing will not get you a good score. Applying concepts is key

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It was a good intro to college

    Course highlights:

We just learned the fundamentals of biology. Basically all the stuff from AP Bio, but with some extra stuff.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do a lot of reading and you'll be fine. The lectures felt more like supplementary podcasts to you reading because all the material you need to know are in there.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

READ! The two midterms weren't too bad, but the final killed me. The final is cumulative so the information I needed was from the first midterm.

    Course highlights:

cells, powerhouse, etc Loved all three professors! Wood is super nice and chill if you get to talk to him.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

don't procrastinate, don't be lazy, read ahead of time, prepare to know all the information from the whole quarter for the final exam
