Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it for any student who is interested in pursuing a career in the science field and has a special interest in genetics. It gives basic knowledge to what genetics consists of.

    Course highlights:

What I gained from this class is how genetic modifications happens in the human body such as the different mutations that our genes go through. Additionally how meiosis and mitosis plays major role in our genetics sequence and the duplication of our chromosomes

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always go over the class notes and ask the professor for help for any clarification that you may need.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a very interesting class, continuing the route of biology. This time it is a course on genetics: genes, variations, as well as mutations! The concepts are very interesting and logically sound. If you want to understand why something is happening, the way the three professors explain the concepts is very well done.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about genetic variation and the different mechanisms genes undergo while replicating or changing due to mutations. Cancer was a topic we touched upon and it is very intriguing as well.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The teachers use presentation slides as their main way of thinking. For the course, I would recommend following along with the slides and using the book as a guide for certain concepts you do not understand. That is the most effective way to study for this course.
