Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
Take good notes with the professor! Listen in class and go to discussions. Midterms are based on the notes. Very easy-going and informative professor! I also have previous midterms, quizzes, and homework assignments on WebWork. Earned an A in the course.
Course highlights:
Lehman started from the very start of every math courses, functions. Then after functions, she explained about different kinds of translations and transformations, which helped understand the overall course of limits and derivatives. Remember domain as well because it's important for the first half. Limits, continuity, and then derivatives. Then a little of word problems at the end but not as important as it required derivatives.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Follow up with the notes and study well. Midterm exams are based on the notes, or even better the same problem in the note examples. For the first midterm, remember and understand the definition of derivative and the limits, continuity and domain very well.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
The professor is there when you need him, and is a cool guy.
Course highlights:
I learned that college classes are no joke. This was a seemingly easy class that I didn't do very well in, giving me a big reality check.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
Do the suggested homework problems; they really help.
