    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a great series for getting all of your GEs out of the way, for Humanities, Writing, Art, etc.

    Course highlights:

In all honestly, the class was a great way for introducing freshmen into the college life. Although it is difficult, and an intensive course for those just coming into the college. I would say that it is worth the amount of work that is put in.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not hold back on the reading. If you are not able to finish the reading, you are for sure to fall behind the class. It is crucial to go to the lectures. Some might be boring, others might be interesting depending on the lecturer. But whatever the circumstance, being in the lecture and understanding what the person is saying is an important and direct way to get a good grade in the class. Note taking is key in this class, only take notes that are crucial, there is no need to copy everything the professor is saying.

    | Would not recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I know it seems very tempting because it exempts you from taking other GE's, but the class is completely not worth it. What your Spop staffers will not tell you is that GE's are supposed to raise your GPA. The time commitment that is required for this class will take away from your other classes.

    Course highlights:

It was an interesting course. I learned plenty about all aspects of war: definition, memorialization, personal anecdotes, etc.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you do take this course, lecture is not completely necessary to go to. You get 2 different grades and they both stem from your seminar section. It is necessary that you attend and pay attention in your seminar because he/she creates finals, midterms, and ultimately decides your grade in the class.
