Pretty easy, overall.
Do your readings! The course requires a 1 page summary on each chapter, and this is fairly easy to do. By the end of the course, you will have completed around 30 summary pages. Even as an upper division writing class, this course is not fully a "writing" course. There are only 2 big essays required for this course, which is also done through group work.
Overall, all the topics covered in class were interesting. The course covers cultural, sociological, and biological factors in sex and gender.

Advice for students:
Be sure to keep up with all your readings and take down all the lecture notes that are presented in class. The readings take about 10-30 minutes out of your day, so don't fall behind. This course is great for sociology majors because it covers many basic concepts while adding on how the sociology of gender is very relevant today in society.
