    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Pattis is one of the best Computer Science professors on campus; he knows a lot about Python and it really shows in his answers to student questions. His class requires a ton of work being put in to get a good grade, but I feel that if you do get a good grade, you will have learned a lot and will be even more prepared for work in the field.

    Course highlights:

His projects were great, because even though they were long and difficult, when completed, you were more than ready for his exams. If you completed all the work in the course thoroughly and on time, his exams were a piece of cake. I loved learning about the hardware aspect of coding as well, because it really tied things into the real world.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

READ HIS NOTES. That is the best advice I can give. If you read the notes, then completing all other work shouldn't be too bad. I also recommend that you don't shortcut your way out of quizzes or projects. If you struggle through them, you will learn so much more. I also recommend that you read through the Python documentation when you have an issue before going to Google. It gives you a lot of real life experience that will be very useful in the job field.
