Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I recommend this course because it is different speakers from different universities coming to speak about what they are researching . Yes it is required for International Studies majors to take this course, but overall it is interesting listening to different types of topics being researched and each student is required to write a 500-700 analysis afterwards.
I was able to gain insight on the research topics and arguments each speaker developed. The topics were very interesting as well, like there would be topics ranging from the myth of racial democracy in Brazil to the causations of economic stagnation in the US economy.

Advice for students:
If a student has trouble writing, I recommend going to the TA's office hours or just email them and get their feedback. Also exchanging notes with other students in the class is quite helpful since laptops aren't allowed for notetaking in the class.
