I learned Vonnegut's eight tips some of which include choose a subject you care about, have the guts to cut, and sound like yourself.

Engage in the readings, apply the concepts discussed in your own writing. This course can truly improve one's writing if he/she cares enough to fully understand the tips.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course with Professor Chatman because she is very understanding and has interesting lesson plans. No class is ever the same. There is a great balance between class discussion, watching videos, and reading text.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were that Professor Chatman stressed the process of writing and how it is an ongoing process, so therefore we were graded based on how we applied her feedback from correct papers rather than from her disagreeing with our argument.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the material and do the work. Show up to class you will be fine.
