    Pretty easy, overall.

I would highly recommend this course. It is taught by a great professor with mind-blowing material.

I learned about beauty, body image, and feminism through articles and media about patriarchy, the beauty myth, and the cult of thinness.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the professor giving us more time to work on assignments so we can do it to the best of our abilities.

    Course highlights:

The highlights was definitely discussing the readings in the two books and also presenting our final projects.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend really taking time to understand the different opinions of others and also taking time and dedication in the assignments.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a seminar about gangs, drugs, and violence. I did not choose this course, and at first I thought I would dislike it. But Professor Dichiara does a great job of making each class interesting and makes me want to learn more about this subject that is totally different from anything I have ever studied.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course, we were introduced to various members of Hartford gangs, people who were affected by gangs, drugs, or violence, and ex-cops during the time period in which gang activity was at an all time high. We learned about drugs and violence in cities, and how criminals are treated by society. We also studied potential aspects that could steer a person into a life of crime without much choice in the matter.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay up to date with the readings for the book you are assigned, and make sure you work together with your groups thoroughly on group projects.
