Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very hands-on course that requires a lot of work and note taking, but the teacher is always open to help his students. Mr. Langford host study sessions almost every and allows students to retake tests if the received a failing grade. he may have a bit of a crude sense of humor that shows in his tests and quizzes, but he really tries to help his students

    Course highlights:

The highlights of his class were all of the projects, from making mini-motors to making Catapults, his projects are very unique and fun to do. I learned various things from force, momentum, and gravity

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take Through notes and study them up to 4 times a week. ask him questions on parts you are having trouble on.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very informational, and provides students the chance to learn about and discuss environmental issues going on in the world. For those who do not enjoy a lot of worksheets, and at times book work this course may not be for them. Other than that the course made me become aware of my good and bad habit when it comes to taking care of the earth.

    Course highlights:

For this class our teacher took us on a field trip to marshes, and then a university so we could collect and study what we collected. We used collaborative learning for this class frequently, whether it was class work or projects. The projects for this class were typically power points, but they were very informative and fun.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Participation will make the class more enjoyable, and go by a lot quicker. There is a lot of group work, so get to know the people in your class. Do not wait to finish projects and/or assignments, get them done as soon as you can . Be willing to learn and open up to the course, and varying perspectives .

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mr. Sherrill truly does care for the Earth and he wants his students to learn. But sometimes Sherrill can become a little sidetracked and focus on the work that is not truly important in the long run of APES.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was when my team placed second at Envirothon after everyone on the team had worked hard for months to be fully ready for the competition.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to have a strong understanding of science, be able to make connections between different sciences, and you must memorize and study vocabulary.
