Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you love to write and want to grow as a writer, then this is one of the best ways to. Obviously there is a difference between creative writing and journalistic writing, but I have learned how, in some ways, to combine them. Through this course, I have learned so much. It is even how I discovered what I want my dream job to be

    Course highlights:

I learned how to become a better writer, and that gave me a lot of confidence. I was able to meet and talk with so many new, different, and interesting people. The world of journalism is always changing so there are always new things to learn. One of my favorite parts, of being in the journalism program was that I was able to learn about the history of journalism, and I am also very aware of laws and court cases involving writers. Honestly, writing is my favorite in the world and I am so thankful for all of the opportunities I received through the course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're considering this course, then you're already half way there. All you need is a little nudge in the right direction. Newspaper is a creative outlet and I love it. You meet new people often, undercover stories, and so much more. There is more to journalism than just writing though and I have learned so much about it while being on the newspaper staff. The world of journalism is beautiful and it does not take long to fall in love with it. I would just say go for it because the worst thing that could happen is you not liking it. Even then, you get to say that you tried it, and you will never have that question of what if hanging over you.
