    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Mathison is an awesome instructor! She is a pro at helping anyone get comfortable with public speaking and her modified version of how to approach speech is interesting. If you want a unique take on speech, go for the Gamified version!

    Course highlights:

I learned some really important concepts in how to write and deliver speeches effectively. I really feel like she helped mold me into a better public speaker. She gives great examples that are personal to her and highly relateable to everyone in the room.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take her kindness for granted. She wants to help you be better at what you do and it shows, but don't think she is a pushover or doesn't see when someone is trying to be manipulative. She doesn't require a lot of extra memorization and regurgitation outside of class but focuses more on group effort of things.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Our professor was extremely knowledgeable about the subject! She gave great feedback and helped guide the class in the correct direction. I feel more confident about public speaking and I'm glad I took it as one of my first courses.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about powerpoint, public speaking etiquette, and organization of a speech and outlines.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure not to put off starting research and writing your speech. PRACTICE your speech..it makes it so much easier to be in front of people when you know what you want to say and don't trip on words.
