Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a great course; you learn a lot about the brain, and how people learn.

    Course highlights:

Understanding that children can learn a lot of information, early in their lives

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are prepared to do a lot of reading and studying.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This was a course that could have been tedious and difficult, but Shelly's teaching style made it a very fun and engaging class. Her presence and abilities as a speaker allowed her to present a potentially "dry" material in an enjoyable manner.

    Course highlights:

I learned some about pharmacology, which I found interesting because I'm going into nursing school, but what was probably most interesting was the focus placed on famous psychological experiments, some of which were rather controversial (for example, the Stanford Prison Experiment).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always attend the lectures and take notes from Shelly's presentations. This is where the vast majority of the exam questions will come from. She also provided a study guide for each exam, which I would recommend using for studying.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was an interesting class and it also made me finalize my decision to pursue a psychology degree.

    Course highlights:

You learn that everything a person does can be explained through sensors or why emotions sudden pop up and much more. It was interesting to see how the human mind works.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The most important part would be to memorize which part of the brain controls what and to always do the reading!
