Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Newell is one of the best teachers at Modesto Junior College! He is extremely passionate about the coursework and does a fantastic job engaging students in the lectures. His graded material consists of four-six exams based on the in-class lectures. The final is not cumulative and there is no graded homework.

    Course highlights:

You learn so much in this class! He is thoroughly educated on what he is lecturing on. The amount you learn in just one class session is unbelievable, and the fact that the information sticks with you is even better.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Even if you are a bad test taker, he fully prepares you for each exam so that you hopefully don't feel nervous about it. There is normally an essay portion and a multiple choice portion. Since there are multiple exams, it isn't a huge deal if you fail one. You still have multiple chances to help your grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Morales was enthusiastic and knew his history. He got excited about what he was teaching which made the student excited to learn.

    Course highlights:

I love history and it was very eye opening to be taught that History though is considered a fact, it all depends on how, who and when it was reported and that much off history was lost because no one recorded it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay up on the reading, and take copious notes.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. McCoy is a terrible teacher. I love history and this class nearly made me hate it.

    Course highlights:

I learned in this class that you had better be over prepared for his tests. He was very elusive.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take this class from Mr. McCoy. His answer for everything will be "look at the syllabus."
