Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is challenging and rewarding. You gain so much knowledge about biology and it is very interesting. The course focuses on cells, DNA, plants, animals, and the human body. You have to put a great deal of study time in. But it is so rewarding to achieve a good grade in something that is a challenge.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning about DNA structure and performing the labs. The labs help you learn the information easier. The biggest highlight for myself was received an A. It was not an easy course so seeing my hard work pay off was defiantly a highlight.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise student to make flashcards. Re- read your notes before and after class. There is a lot of jargon and the exams could be very technical. So making flashcards and going over your notes is very helpful to retain the information.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because the teacher is amazing. He is very understanding and helpful. He wants you to pass and will answer any questions you have. There is no homework usually, but there are 5 exams and 2 lab exams.

    Course highlights:

In this classIi learned about diseases and germs and how they can effect us. We also learned about atoms, overuse of antibiotics, the immune system and digestive system. We covered the basics of natural selection and the common descent with modification. They were all very interesting chapters some were a bit harder like mitosis and meiosis. But asking questions and the labs we did really helped my understanding of meiosis. Professor Gervin does a wonderful job at explaining things when youre confused.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

This is probably the best bio 111 class you can take.
