    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This accounting class focuses on the managerial concepts of accounting which are also present in manufacturing businesses. In this class, managers use accounting in order to determine, strategize and possibly predict their company's financial health status and stability.

    Course highlights:

Managerial accounting is a lot of number crunching compared to the fascinating journalizing era of financial accounting. In this course, the numbers are reviewed for internal purposes - such as decision making. A financial accounting course, on the other hand, focuses on providing the numbers to external sources - investors. Managerial accounting is more focused on keeping the company stable through internal controls.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do good in the prerequisite class. Even if that class is different from this one, general concepts are required. Practice is an important factor in this course. There are so many things to remember and memorization is not recommended at all. However, be open to changes such as thinking outside the box. Practice is important but not everything should be done in a step-by-step basis.
