Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is relatively easy for an AP class- it is heavily vocabulary based so learn the vocal and you will do fine

    Course highlights:

The teacher is very funny and pro-social. We learn all about the different types of psychology and the brain and mind.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't wait until the day before the test to complete the homework!!!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP World History helped me develop good study habits and increase my knowledge of the world. While the course is difficult (due to the large amount of information that must be covered), I ended the year feeling like I really did learn a lot. Only take this course if you are willing to work every day outside of school and read a lot!

    Course highlights:

In AP World History you cover 12,000 years of human history in 1 year. Mrs. Ruane taught my class more information than I thought was possible to learn in a single year (And we were very prepared for the AP Exam!). I really enjoyed learning about imperialism and colonization (as dark as that seems), but there is something for everyone in this course. There are multiple days during the year when we did an "interactive activities" in class, which really made material easy to learn. Overall, if you take this course you can expect to be extremely we informed about the history of the world.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are 100% dedicated, because the workload is too intense not to be. I found that reading the textbook (or at least parts of it) was a great way to review before a test. Also, John Green over at Crash Course makes great videos for free on YouTube. Before taking the AP Exam I recommend buying a review book (make sure to get one with practice test in it!). Also, encourage friends to take AP World with you (that way you can remind each other when assignments are due and study before tests).
