    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This teacher was by far the best virtual school teacher I have ever encountered. She is deeply interested in my success and is willing to answer any and all questions you may have. She knows what most students struggle on, so she knows how to ask about certain topics, in case either the student doesn't understand or maybe the student is too shy to ask. I would highly recommend Mrs. Childs if you want to complete this course through Florida Virtual High School

    Course highlights:

I learned about a vast amount of topics, from the Oceans, to the Creation of the Universe, and everything in between. They taught me about decay rates, and how to date fossils, the emerging technology of ocean energy, the different types of stars, the levels of the atmosphere, and more!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to study for the Discussion Based Assignments. These are mainly phone calls between you and your instructor. Make sure you know all the information from each module before you call your teacher. Also, strive for the best. If you get an 70% on an assignment, opt for the quiz or assignment retake. Do not settle for less than your best. I also encourage you take the Honors course, because this dives even deeper than the regular course. You really get into the very intricate details as to why and how the topic works or is important.
