    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is very interesting and applicable to own self. I have always been a science oriented student and learning about the parts of the body, the muscles of the body, the skeletal system of the body and their functions was extremely interesting. The teacher and course provided me with a good understanding and background for pursuing my interest of study in college.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course was dissection of a cat. Learned about various parts of the body, skeletal make-up, organs and muscular parts of the body and how they function. By hands on experience, it provided me with a better understanding of how my body actually worked.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review information daily. Study information as it is introduced so that the information can be built upon already learned information. Pay attention to what is being introduced and do not lose that because this is a subject where all information builds on itself and by understanding one area helps to understand another.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course changes your perspective on the world, challenges you, and gives you an opportunity to earn up to 8 hours of college credit (a lot).

    Course highlights:

I learned that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. We also explored, in detail, the physical and chemical cellular processes that are essential to all life. We explored protein folding, molecular machines such as transport proteins and ATP synthase, and the mechanisms and characteristics of evolution. Bill Schuyler goes above and beyond the normal course requirements, teaching you basics about research papers and lab techniques. 10/10 would recommend.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Draw things. sketches and notes are your two best friends, labelled diagrams are your passionate lovers. That being said, you don't have enough time to make them during class. Some people take "pre-notes", but I recommend post notes, after his lecture go home and find his powerpoint on ITSL and make your fancy diagrams and flowcharts.
