    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

HBS was by far my favorite course I have taken in high school, it was full of knowledge and really opened my eyes to seeing how the body functions. We learned about all of the human body systems, we then learned about sub-systems for example when we learned about the urinary system and then learned about nephrons and how they play a huge role in the urinary system.

    Course highlights:

My favorite unit was the second one, the nervous system. It began the learning of how people's brains work and why people with Alzheimer's brains are different. When we learned about the brain, it made me want to study medicine. Learning about different diseases that affect the nervous system really opened my eyes to see why not everyone is the same, but everyone is 99.9% the same. Learning about the neuron was my favorite section it made me think about how awesome human bodies really are. If things do not function as they are supposed to, then people have diseases.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Study and make time for this class, it will be extremely beneficial to you if you are pursuing a medical occupation. It will also give you a taste of college since it is a college course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course because it goes into detail about the anatomy of the body. It broadens you to other jobs that you might not have known about and could potentially be interested in.

    Course highlights:

I think the highlights of the course was being able to have a hands on experience with different activities. There are many different labs that are conducted throughout the year, each one better than the next. I also learned material that I have used in other classes.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class because thats when he will explain it the most and go in detail. Ask questions! Questions are highly encouraged to ensure that everyone understands the material. You cannot study just the night before and expect an A on the test and or quiz. Studying ahead of time will help you understand the material better and make the tests less stressful.
