Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This is a math class that is different from any other math class you have taken before. Instead of solving difficult equations, you are using proofs to tell why two lines are parallel. If math class has been a struggle to you in the past, this class will be a nice break from all the tough topics taught in algebra or pre-cal.
Course highlights:
Throughout the course, you will do lots and lots of proofs. Proofs are just specific steps that you must write down when determining that two lines are parallel, or that two triangles are similar. This class will require you to do some memorization as well. There are theorems you will have to remember, as they come in handy throughout the whole year.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
MEMORIZE YOUR THEOREMS!! The theorems you learn in the beginning of the year will be just as handy then as they will be towards the end of the year. Also, the theorems build on each other, so its EXTREMELY important to memorize them early and keep them in mind when writing proofs. If you have any trouble at any point, you should consult the teacher or another student who seems to know what is going on.
Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
I would definitely recommend it because it is a very helpful class and the teacher is amazing.
Course highlights:
I've learned every formula that I will need in the future throughout my whole life. The teacher tought us how questions are essential.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
Be well prepared and ask many questions.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
It is a required class if you want to graduate. It is very important as a basis for Pre-Calc.
Course highlights:
You learn a lot about special triangles which will be helpful in calculus.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Write every single postulate, theory, rule, etc. into a section of your notebook to reference later.
