    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's really interesting to get to delve into art and history at the same time and see how culture and circumstances affect artistic practices.

    Course highlights:

I was able to study over 250 works of art in detail, spanning from global prehistory to contemporary art. I absolutely loved mARTch madness, where we all had brackets to decide on the best work of art we studied!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! It's nice to have some variety in your schedule. Plus, it's another AP to add to your repertoire.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mrs. Magill is a really enthusiastic, caring, and knowledgable teacher. This course is extremely interesting, and the speed of the course really prepares you for college level rigor.

    Course highlights:

From taking this course, I learned how to take notes quickly, pay attention to the key words and details of the material, and I learned all about the history of simple artworks and how they have highly impacted the world and cultures in many different ways.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, it is really important to take notes and apply yourself to the lectures and discussions about each piece. When you pay attention to the real meaning behind all of the details and colors and messages, it is much easier to talk about them when writing essays and comparing different artworks.
