Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommencement this course because I believe that it is incredibly important for us to never forget our past as a nation, no matter what sort of atrocities were committed, because if we forget the past, we are doomed to repeat it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me were learning about history effects my life. Learning about how decisions made over a hundred years, are effecting my life today, gave me a new perspective on the world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to review every night. The course has a lot of material, and if you get behind on the work, its easy to get overwhelmed

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While this course was challenging and time consuming, I would recommend it to all students whether they enjoy history or not. I learned many new things about the United States and how the country operated then and now. This class was very engaging.

    Course highlights:

This course was very interesting. I gained so much information about the presidents and the government of the United States, the social disagreements and also reforms of the US, and the wars and battles of the country. My favorite topics in this class were the civil war, the Gilded Age, and the World Wars.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You must be a motivated and dedicated student to take this course. There is a decent amount of work that comes with this class. We used an "AMSCO" book along with the textbook for this course that was very useful. When it comes to studying I recommend reviewing your notes from class each night instead of waiting until right before the test. It is very helpful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Out of all the history courses I had ever taken, this course was definitely in my favorites! Learning about the adversities the United States had to face to become this great nation was overall an eye-opening experience. Not only was the content interesting, but my teacher made sure we learned something new every lesson. She never failed to keep the class engaged and attentive, something I've found rare to come by in all my years of high school. Overall, the lessons and criteria of the course are very rewarding, and you will never find yourself regretting the choice to take this class.

    Course highlights:

Although there are many benefits to taking AP U.S. History, the best thing you can take away from the class is the knowledge you gain. From the war of 1812 to President Gerald Ford tripping down a flight of stairs, knowing the history behind your birthplace can serve to be both useful and entertaining. As you move through the course, you find yourself realizing that history does have a tendency to repeat itself, and many of the same issues seen in the past seem to be resurfacing in the present. Overall, during the duration of this class you will learn to appreciate what our nation has become, despite its rocky history.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My biggest advice to anyone considering taking this course would be to keep up with the work. While the course itself isn't too terrible, it is still an advanced class. Due to it's level of intensity, you will have to work a bit to get the results you desire. What i recommend is beginning assignments as soon as possible. Procrastinating will only make it harder for you to enjoy everything the class has to offer. If you complete all assignments and you are dedicated to succeeding in this class, you will do just fine. Despite the workload, the class is a very fulfilling experience.
