    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ms Novak is the sweetest teacher ever. She has made English fun and interesting. I recommend this class because not only do you read incredible literature but the in depth discussions are quite perspective changing.

    Course highlights:

My favorite moments in this class were reading Pride and Prejudice, Hamlet, and Catch 22. Reading those books were so fun. Especially when we would read them aloud in class. Another favorite moment was when we watched the movies to our books in class. Ms Novak really help`s her students with truly understanding the literature we are reading and further analyzing it. Poetry packets are like treasured gold. They will help save your life when it comes to the poetry part of the AP Exam.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Poetry Packet ... read it, analyze it, breathe it, live it. It will save your life. Also annotate your books with everything discussed in class, highlight your books. This will help you review for upcoming quizzes or tests. Make sure to actually read and not just sparknotes the night before.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend for people willing to work hard endless hours in order to succeed.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were getting to work on big group creative projects. I learned how to expand in the way that I think and perceive our society and how to compare it to the past.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to do the readings and take a lot of time writing your essays!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly highly highly recommend this course! It entails all aspects of English Language. From writing new essays to learning lots of new words. If you're one who can memorize words easily then this is a great class to practice your skills with. I wouldn't recommend this class to an individual who doesn't enjoy writing or learning new words. But if you're up for a challenge then take this class! You also have to read some pretty intense literature which may not make a lot of sense at first but will eventually become like second nature if you're willing to put in at least an hour a week. I wish I had done some more literature reading before taking the course because it would have prepared me for the essays and poems and stories I would have to read in the course.

    Course highlights:

I took this course with a lot of my friends so still to this day we can have little conversations using the words that we learned in the class. It's fun to wow people with the crazy words we use and we use them ubiquitously. It also made me have a good work ethic. There was no procrastinating in this class as much as I tried. You either learned that vocabulary or you failed that vocal quiz. I learned that between being smart, working hard and a great teacher that vocabulary and literature wasn't even that bad. This course also prepared me to take AP Literature this year.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be willing to put in the time to memorize and understand literature. It does require time and you can't just float by and expect to ace the AP test or the class. So if you have time then go for it!
