    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I failed this course 2 times before I finally aced it this time with my last letter being an A. When the professor tells you to study and if you have bad memorization and you are an average learner, YOU STUDY extra. It does not hurt to study more than needed.

    Course highlights:

This class was a broad basic science class. We learned about the atoms, to certain periodic table elements, to chromosomes, punnet squares, and the basics of biological life forms. I enjoyed the fact that we had to do some online video assignments as well on MasteringBiology. It is a required assignment for the course and, for a visual learner such as myself, it was super helpful in explaining more of the concepts we were studying if I did not already understand it from lectures and the textbook.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study and do all the assignments the professor tells you to do. Do not slack off. It is better to be ahead than just there with the class because if you fall back, it will be hard to catch up. This will not be an easy course but it will be quite rewarding. If you want an easier class, take Biology 1000.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a good intro to biology and science. If you are thinking anything in the Health field or science field, this course in a definite must.

    Course highlights:

The professor, Dr. Mans made this course fun. This is an overall hard course and requires you to do a lot of work. At times it was really confusing, but Dr. Mans would always be there to help you whether it be office hours, during class, or over email. During this class you learn way too much to put into words, it is an intro class so you are learning a little bit of everything.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you understand everything before moving on, if you don't understand the things in the first chapter you wont understand anything else coming along. Read the book, do the worksheets, and study off of the study guides, if you do the extra optional work given, you will get the most out of the class.
