Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it really challenges you to be a thinker and an active citizen. Mr.Pietsch makes the class very engaging, by making students participate in mock trials and debates. He really brings history to life for his students.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course included various group and individual projects that had me researching specific events in history. The Mock First Continental Congress was one of the most intriguing as well as challenging activities. It put me in the shoes of delegate from Rhode Island. Making decisions based on what would have been right and fair for the people of Rhode Island was difficult due to its size. It was not seen to need as much representation as the other larger colonies.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

It is a difficult class, based on the amount of work and the level of intensity, but if time manage well, and make good use of the assistance Mr.Pietsch provides you can succeed. Note taking is extremely imperative in this class and will be helpful when it comes to exams. Homework assignments tend to mirror quizzes. Make sure you do your homework religiously. Seriously!!!
