Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this class! This is a class that really hones in on writing skills and looking at different kinds of writing. I thought that by studying different pieces of writing I became a better writer. My teacher was very good and encouraged us and prepared us enough for the AP test.

    Course highlights:

This class was definitely a blast!. I thought that learning about rhetorical, argumentative, and synthesis essays made me well rounded in my expertise.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to have success in this class, then I suggest that you always practice writing. There are so many opportunities to improve your writing skills and the teacher understands that it is a learning process. Therefore, everything does not revolve around grades. By participating in class and communicating with the teacher, you can be successful.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

When I first got introduced to an AP class I was a junior in high school, and at first it was scary because I had no kind of expectation for how tough the class could be. But I was sure glad that my teacher was Mr.Niesse, he made sure that we all understood the class and that no one felt left behind in the course. My biggest advice would be to always ask questions because the answers are what make you more knowledgeble and questions just keep your doughtful of the the things you could have learned. I know that I was the annoying girl with all the questions but I know Mr. Neisse appreciated that because not only did I learned more but he taught his whole class newer things.

    Course highlights:

What I remember most about this course is that Mr.Niesse would still read to us, especially the Huckleberry novel, one because it was his favorite and second because we lived his southerner accent. I learned honestly learned a whole new world because in my regular English classes I never new what 'SOAPS' was: Speaker, Ocassion, Audience, Purpose, Subject, and Tone. I mean I knew what they meant but just not how to relate all that to rhetorical analysis, but I sure do know how to use each and every tactic to tear an analysis paper down to what the authors really think about subjects.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid of AP, sure it's scary but don't let fear take away the classes that give you the most knowledge and the most understanding of the world.
