    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course was by far the best class I have ever taken, and the most useful, too. Scott covers everything involving our relationships and how we interact with the people around us. The things I learned in this class helped me to better understand the reasons why I act certain ways with different people and how my past interactions have shaped who I am and my future interactions will continue to shape me forever.

    Course highlights:

Not only do you learn about other people but you also learn deep truths about yourself and your role in society. Scott will teach you how to manage your current relationships, as well as which relationships to look out for as you go forth in life. You will learn the surprisingly predictable nuances of relationship dynamics from family to romantic to professional and anything in between. In my opinion this class was an invaluable resource for me in understanding people and getting into their heads without being invasive, and I think everybody should take the class to become a more engaged and effective communicator in today's society.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the reading ahead of time to be prepared for weekly pop quizzes! They're usually pretty straightforward and common-sense based but its best to do the reading anyways so that you can have a deeper understanding of what is being discussed in class. And don't be afraid to speak up! Scott loves to have his ideas challenged and to challenge others' ideas to expand everybody's thinking.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

One of the most fun classes I've taken at North. Renee was so much fun and was passionate about the subject. Thorough at teaching and very eye opening. I didn't feel like it was "hard work", I felt like her classes were structured in a way that made it fun and enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

Renee loves her students! She also loves learning about other cultures so it was great to see her spread her knowledge over the quarter about the different cultures and environments she's experienced. Being able to communicate with other people is essential in most employment opportunities so it is incredibly important to learn what is necessary to be successful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention! Don't miss class. Most of the material is covered through lecture and if you miss class you'll have a hard time knowing exactly what to look for on exams. Exams are pretty easy because she gives you PLENTY of time to review and also hands out a study guide. Study those things and you'll do great!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great course; very informative and eye opening. The instructor was amazing and was very clear of expectations. Prepared us well for exams. You will read a lot of the textbook but it's an easy read and definitely will help for future relationships (any type from romantic to coworker).

    Course highlights:

Highlight of this course was the overall takeaway message- you really learn how to communicate with different people and how to react in certain situations. This is good for everyone to know as it is vital to everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are to take this course I recommend getting comfortable with the other students in the class. You'll be working with them quite a bit.
