Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Taking this course with Rachel was wonderful! She not only opened my eyes, but everyone elses. In that course, we all learned how to respectively debate and talk about our viewpoints. She was always willing to help and named other on-campus that would help with writing. Very fair, understanding and the best contingent teacher at NMU!

    Course highlights:

Highlights were always the class discussions on reading. There was always a new viewpoint for us to consider and helped us all really understand what we were reading.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do your work. Rachel isn't being mean and she never assigned anything unnecessary. When you do the work and do what you need to get done, the class will be wonderful. The only students who didn't flourish were those who didn't participate.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely loved this course. I was able to really connect with my professor and she was able to get me to think outside of the box. Sarah talks about a lot of important topics in writing such as creating a strong argument, properly analyzing works, and completing a good research paper.

    Course highlights:

One of my favorite aspects of this course was that every class, she had us take 15- 20 minutes to free write. This really helped my state of mind throughout the whole semester. It definitely made me feel much more grounded!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would go to her class seeming as it's mandatory. I'd really take the time to absorb all she has to say. Make the most of it.
