    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class taught me some of the most helpful things about writing in American History, and highly increased my writing skills. I would not be half the English student I am without having taken this college level course.

    Course highlights:

My absolute favorite part was reading The Things They Carried. This book had such emotion and language that really was a breath of fresh air from some of the other novels we had studied.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely don't procrastinate; that will hurt you majorly in the end. It is a course that requires you to just work hard and put forth as much effort into each big assignment,

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Yes, I would recommend this course. The course was the first AP class I took, and really gave me good intro into what an upper class was like. The course involves writing many essays, but the workload is not unbearable for underclassmen.

    Course highlights:

One thing I really enjoyed about this course was the amount of different types of literature we were exposed to. We read texts ranging from historical documents to current events. In doing so, we wrote an essay for each text, and I believe my writing was significantly improved. My reading skills and range of vocabulary was also bettered.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The most important thing is to not procrastinate on your writing homework or reading! You will end up falling way behind and making a bad grade in the class. If you keep up with your week, your grade will show it.
