Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a difficult class, but you will have a lot of fun. I recommend this to students with a great work ethic and a passion for learning. If you want to go into medicine or STEM, I strongly suggest AP Chemistry appears on your transcript. Good luck!

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot from AP Chemistry. I learned how to explore equilibrium using the RICE method, and I also studied gas laws and nuclear chemistry. The labs in this class are awesome; you get to interact with bunsen burners, test tubes, and a variety of chemicals. I even got to set my arm on fire once (it was intentional and completely safe)! It is an interesting course that will be one of the highlights of your high school career.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard. Find your study habits and stick to them. Always do your homework, and don't be afraid to ask for questions. Do not let others deter you from taking this course because you can succeed as long as you believe in yourself. Good luck and be awesome!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Ames is a wonderful teacher. She knows the material and makes the class so enjoyable and knows how to make chemistry a fun and engaging subject. She is such an engaging teacher and knows how to get a class involved.

    Course highlights:

I learned throughout this course that even chemistry can be an amazing subject full of interesting and engaging topics. With a variety of labs and classroom exercises to help students understand the material, there is no way students taking this course will fail to learn the material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Students need to be prepared to work hard to achieve in this class. Even though this is a very enjoyable class, there is still a certain expectation for work. Doing the homework, listening and taking copious notes, and asking questions in class helped me and several other students achieve success in this class.
