Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you love technology or other STEM subjects, this is the class for you. In AP Computer Science A, you will explore the world of Java, and you'll dive into for loops, inheritance, and booleans. It is a very interesting, practical course.

    Course highlights:

I had so much fun in this course. I learned a lot about basic Java programming, but more importantly, I learned many universal lessons. I improved my problem solving skills and strategic thinking. The highlight of this class for me was the collaboration. Computer science is a team effort (even though the AP Exam is individual), so we were able to work on group projects throughout the course. This is one of my favorite high school classes, and I hope it is just as enjoyable for you.

    Advice for students:

In order to be successful in AP Computer Science A, you have to be open minded. In addition, use your resources. You will not always understand everything, so get used to using YouTube, peers, and Code Academy to refresh topics you don't understand. Be responsible, turn in your assignments, and work hard. If you do, you'll have a great year.
