    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone who likes ro understand hidden meanings and the purpose behind how everything is said in the English language. You can also learn techniques used to properly convey important information. I do not revommend this course if you do not like extra work. There is a lot of home work, projects, and basically working on your own once you leave the classroom. The class is time-consuming and somewhat tedious so you have ever to be ready to do the work.

    Course highlights:

I loved this course because, despite all the extra work, I learned to analyze what is said in speeches and advertisements as opposed to just investing whatever I am told. I learned that there is a reason for everything in media. Movies, advertisements, books, even magazines. Everything is said or placed a certain way for a reason. You just have to figure it out.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

There is a lot of work. Be ready to do the work. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it challenges you to think analytically about artistic works, understanding more than just what the author means, but "why". Discovering purpose of why individuals write, think and speak, give an individual a more critical and knowledgeable outlook on the world, and Mr. Davis was exceptional at doing so.

    Course highlights:

I love how informed my teacher is. He taught us how to understand motives from both sides of an arguement, as well as being bold enough to trust our first instincts when it comes to analyzing stylistic choices that give a writers' words meaning

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be willing and open to learn difficult terms and concepts regarding Language and Composition. This is not a simple "read a book and answer questions based on the plot" like previous high school Language Arts classes. Be ready for a challenge, be diligent in all work given even though it may seem pointless. It all has a purpose.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's an interesting and informative class for students interested in English and language. It's difficult, but worth the effort.

    Course highlights:

Learning to write AP Lang essays helps with analysing any piece of writing and prepares one for the SAT essay.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work, pay attention, and put in an effort to understand, and you'll do fine.
