    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

As an aspiring general med student, I learned so much from this course. I would 100% recommend this course to anybody and everybody whether they are aspiring to pursue a career in medicine or just want to learn how to better take care of themselves. This course is like taking "get to know your body and its functions" type of course in which everyone who takes it will learn something that will benefit them for the rest of their lives and could possibly save their lives and the lives of others.

    Course highlights:

In the Healthcare Science course, I learned so many things. There are about twelve chapters in the book which represent the twelve different systems of the body. As we studied a chapter we would often go in depth in each chapter and relate to real world problems. For example, when we talked about the reproductive system, we were made aware of the low awareness of prostate cancer and how common it is among men. Our teacher really encouraged us to spread awareness of that cancer disease and many others that are less known to the public. Some of the highlights include being able to dissect animal organs. We were able to receive a visual representation of the object we were studying which made the learning so much easier and fun.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

As you continue to learn although the textbook might be hard to read, and diagrams might appear to be confusing, consider what type of learner you are and try your hardest to incorporate a study routine in which best benefits you and your style of learning.
