Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone because it teaches you everything you need to know about writing in a college environment. This course taught me how to properly research information, how to embed it into a well written paper and how to cite it within the paper. It also taught me about the structure of different types of essays and introduced me to many online and textbook writing tools and resources that I still use. This course really prepared me for any writing challenges I've faced since, and even helps me better understand and interpret the writing of others. Because of this course and professor, I'm not only a better writer, but a more well-rounded and successful student.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part about this course was learning about all the different resources you can use for a paper and how to cite them based on which format you're using. Another thing I'm glad I learned is how to find the best sources possible and how to utilize the database that any university or college library makes available for students. However, the most useful thing I learned is the different types of essays and the most efficient ways to structure them to ensure a seamless writing process and finished product.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that any student taking this course truly applies themselves. It's nice to do your work and pass the class but if you truly learn the content of the course, writing won't be such a tenuous process throughout the remainder of your college career. I recommend that you pay attention so that you can use your knowledge from this course to benefit you for years to come.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course forces you to think critically about the texts you read and connect them to a song and an image that you must take yourself. Incorporating the various medias made learning the content more interesting.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I was able to develop my critical thinking skills which is an important skill to have. I also improved on my writing skills from the essays that we wrote throughout the semester. My professor had us go through the whole writing process for each essay which made writing out the final paper a lot more simple.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed at this course you should keep up with the readings each week and allow yourself plenty of time to work on essays so you aren't struggling to complete work the night before it is due.
