Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because the professor makes sure you are learning the most about Biology, both in lecture and in the labs. We are not simply following the book, the activities we do in lab give us a hands on idea of what we are learning so that we can see things and have our own understanding of it. It is not a single mindset class, and with the more questions we ask, the wider our learning range becomes.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the theory of evolution and how our bodies and minds are always changing as the world around us changes. Many diseases that are harmful to us today were essential hundreds, thousands, millions of years ago. Nothing about the human race is set in stone, and I find that extremely interesting and exciting.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY AND READ THE BOOK. The professor explains things the way she understands it, but that might not be the way you understand it. By studying the material you put things together in a way your mind clicks, and the same thing goes for when reading the book.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because Professor McGee is very patient when explaining topics to the class. She also does many activities so that it is interesting and easier to understand.

    Course highlights:

My favorite things about the course were the lab activities. We learned how to identify plants. We learned how to identify types of bacteria and protozoans in microscopes. We also did online discussions which really helped understand the information by seeing other peoples' inputs.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid to ask questions! Sometimes she uses terms you are unfamiliar with, or there are many terms that mean the same thing. Make sure you understand each term to understand the bigger picture of it all. Also, I would recommend study sessions because it is a lot of material to learn on your own. (Not impossible to do so though)
