Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because Dr. van Dijk provided reviews for the exam; if you do the review you can easily obtain an A in this course.

    Course highlights:

I learned the importance of Material Safety Data Sheets for labs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The only person that will pass or fail the course is you. If you want an A, put forth the time and effort to earn that grade. Dr. van Dijk is a great professor and he is willing to teach you if you have the willingness to learn. Before you ask a question read and have an understanding of the basics so that he can build upon it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Definitely study hard outside of class if you do not have a strong chem/math background. Teacher is helpful if you visit during office hours. Study old tests, reviews, keys online from other colleges. Coursehero really helped!

    Course highlights:

I really know chemistry on a deeper level and am more comfortable with the math function on my calculator.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be consistent with your studying and don't get behind.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this professor for this course specifically because he will help you understand the material in new ways. Professor Casanova made me appreciate chemistry, I was truly dreading the class and thinking I would never pass this class. The way he teaches is outside the box and relates the material to our everyday life helping us understand chemistry.

    Course highlights:

The labs for Gen Chem 2 were basic for the most part but playing with chemical and seeing how the chemical balances create new reactions was always a thrill for my lab partners and I.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

After every class I would use my text book and practice problems of the material I just learned for the day. I think the consistency of studying the material and going back to review is what helped be through the course. I recommend you practice the problems multiple times through out the week and even when you learn something new go back and review the previous problems.
