Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is more fun that you would think it would be. But also more interesting than you would think. You can learn important communication skills in the work place and actually be able to apply them in real life.

    Course highlights:

I have learned to communicate affectedly in the work place. Not only to get my point across but to be respectful towards my colleagues but also to be respected.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Participate in class, because practice makes perfect. Also, do the homework. It might be long but reading the book does teach you things that you wont cover in class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Boatman is very passionate about what he does. It will show in his lectures. A speech class can be intimidating for most people, but professor Boatman is kind, and he makes you show our strengths.

    Course highlights:

I learned to be confident about myself. Mr. Boatman taught us how to sell ourselves to other people. He taught us how to be professional, and especially how to be kind to others.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book! Pay attention in class, and participate. Boatman tries to include the whole class, but you have to be willing to as well. Study, and take some notes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is well structured, the workload is enough to allow thorough comprehension of the material without being overwhelming, and the professor is extremely personable and makes the class enjoyable to attend.

    Course highlights:

I learned about my fellow peers and about their opinions. I learned how to engage in an intense debate while staying respectful and considerate of others involved.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not wait until the last minute to research topics for speeches throughout the semester. Try to brain storm ideas as soon as the guidelines are given for the next speech. Preparation and organization are key to success in this course.
