Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend AP Calculus to those who would love a challenge for their math encompassed mind

    Course highlights:

In this course, I found the math to be complicated, but the overall idea behind these equations and formulas is fascinating. In this class, my classmates and I went from Limit Definition to, Applications of Integrals, Integration by Parts, Logistics, and P-Series. There is so much in this class, so it can be very stressful, but if there had to be one main point to AP Calculus, it would be what Mrs. Little told me on one of my first days in the class. She showed us a documentary/article involving the stress that comes with math. This article showed that the stress felt by math in general does not mean it is impossible. It only means that the student is trying. The student should not give up because it is stressful, because if they keep trying, as I did, they will pass with flying colors and "derived acceleration".

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This class is for those who try and are willing to keep trying despite the stress that comes with the math. If you do not give up and keep asking questions, there is nothing you can not do in this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because Mrs. Little is a very thorough teacher and takes the time to explain the components of calculus so that everyone understands. She also recognized my proficiency in Math and recommended me for the Amy Alpha Theta Math Honor Society which I joined this year because of her encouragement.

    Course highlights:

I have learned that calculus is basically the mathematical study of change. I have also learned about the differences between differential and integral calculus as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest that anyone who takes the course should pay attention and ask questions if they are unclear of the material. She is very supportive and will take the time to make sure that you understand. It is also a good idea to spend some time after school reviewing the material learned to better understand as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course to people who are willing to work and will not give up even when they get confused. I remember at the beginning of the year from Mrs Little that if you are confused, it shows that you are trying, because you seek to understand it and if you keep trying and working at it you could pass and become very successful in this college course.

    Course highlights:

In this course, almost all the math I learned in previous years were put to use, and I learned new things because of it. I learned derivatives and integrals that use trigonometric functions, but the class did not only learned the criteria, they applied it to real world problems that would open the eyes of so many students to what the real world uses this math for.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you feel that you can devote yourself to a course that is stressful and very confusing at times, go for AP Calculus. The work is not easy, but it can be easier if you put your head to it and never give up.
