    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Adkinson is the beat prof I've ever had. He is very fair and has a genuine concern for each of his students educations. After each of his lessons, he always asked, "But did you LEARN anything?" His goal is to teach you to learn, not teach the test. He has a flipped classroom teaching style and allows you to create your own course. So you pretty much choose the grade you want and do the work to get that grade. Physics is very difficult, but he made it fun.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of college physics. We covered 13 chapters in the book, each chapter a different subject that sort of piggybacks of of previous chapters. I know how things in the world work now which is a pretty cool tool to have. I also learned time management and note taking. He does open note tests and does not place too much emphasis on test taking. He believes that tests do not suggest how you understand the material because too many students get anxiety and it affects their scores.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Have an open mind about physics. We had a lot of people drop out of the class because they did not want to put forth the effort. But every single person that stayed in the class passed. Stay strong and you can survive this class. There are also tons of YouTube videos that help explain how to work the problems.
