    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course makes you concentrate on finding a voice as a writer. Your voice. The teacher helps with that so much by working with you to follow your opinions and to openly question and argue.

    Course highlights:

This course takes current topics, some of which are not easy to talk about, and lets the students summarize their personal feelings about the matter without judgement. Writing is organic and always remember to write what you feel and grow you writing from the idea you want to convey.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need a viewpoint and you need to be able to convey that view to others. Stand firm in your messages but don't forget that having an open mind is where real growth comes from. Being able to listen (read) is just as important as conveying a message.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This professor is on the OSU Stillwater campus, it just wouldn't let me choose that campus as an option, but he makes you do upper level comp coursework in your comp 1 class and isn't good at explaining things at all.

    Course highlights:

Haven't learned anything really, except that I'm glad I'm not majoring in English

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it wil a different professor, it'll make your life easier

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recomend this course because although it is fast paced because it is only an 8-week summer course, the teacher I had did an excellent job at getting our essay grades in fast so we could see what we made, and she gave great feedback so we knew what to work on for the next essay.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write four different types of argument essays, classical, evaluation, definition, and proposal. The definition essay was probably the hardest but only because it really made you think about what you were writing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to anyone wanting to take this course is to stay on top of your deadlines! It is an 8-week course because it is in the summer so you really have to watch when things are due.
